A WALKING MACHINE

This apparatus has been designed by an ingenious Frenchman to afford the advantages of mountain climbing without leaving one's apartment. The illustration will make the method obvious. As the walker moves the rollers on which he is supported revolv, so that he is continually climbing without progressing a foot. A screw enables the incline to be adjusted at pleasure, so that the user may fancy himself either ascending the easiest gradient or toiling up the peaks of Mont Blanc.
