Oj, så länge sedan det var som jag senast tänkte på Lin Yutang — och ännu längre  sedan jag läste något av honom. Nu bläddrar jag i ett par av hans böcker och tänker att det är hög tid att återvända till honom.

Han var inte enbart filosof, författare och översättare, jag upptäcker nu att han även uppfann en skrivmaskin (scribal machine), för kinesiska tecken, och en tandborste med inbyggd tandkräm.
